Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Jesse Munk who passed away at his home in Dell Rapids on Saturday evening, following an illness of about two months. Last rites were conducted at the Dell Rapids Lutheran Church at two o'clock, by John Bjorge, student pastor and Rev. Paul Sather. The men's quartet sang. Interment was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery. The Hermanson Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Herman Olson, T.M. Michaelson, Harry Hatch, Dave Nelson, Oscar Berg, Lee Whipkey, Ray Wood and Harold Dennis, honorary. Active bearers were nephews of the deceased: Melvin Munk, Jack Munk, Robert Munk, Donald Munk, Dale Arts and Robert Westover.

Jesse Munk was born January 23, 1892 on a farm near Dell Rapids the son of John and Ada Munk. He passed away April 23 at the age of 63 years and 3 months.

Mr. Munk farmed in the Dell Rapids community all his life.

He was united in marriage to Edna Artz on December 10, 1914 in Dell Rapids. Three children were born to his union, Eldon, Milton and Harold of Dell Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one sister and two brothers. His is survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, five sisters and five brothers.
