Dell Rapids, Aug. 30, J.J. Munk, a pioneer of he state and for a long time resident of Dell Rapids, died suddenly yesterday after a week’s illness with summer flu. He had suffered with rheumatism for over a year. His widow and 12 children, seven boys and five girls, survive him.
For many years Mr. Munk conducted a day business here, which within the last six years he and his sons have developed into one of the most extensive lines in the state. Mr. Munk was a member of the local fire company in which he took great interest and was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
