Dell Rapids, SD – Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church for Fred L. Munk, 74, who died in a Sioux Falls hospital Wednesday.
Mr. Munk was born June 26, 1893, at Dell Rapids. He was a retired trucker and farmer. His marriage to Philomena Broghammer took place Sept. 17, 1924, in Sioux Falls.
He is survived by his widow; a son, Melvin, Dell Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Nielsen, Dell Rapids; Mrs. Francis Frantzen, Ossian, Iowa; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Claude, Harry, William and Guy, all of Dell Rapids, and five sisters, Mrs. Vernon Anderson, Dell Rapids; Ms. Iva Erick, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Maude Westover, Madison; Mrs. Hazel Ellis, Aloha, Ore., and Mrs. David Godsey, Oregon.
The rosary will be recited at 9 pm Friday at St. Mary’s Church.
