Audra Sue Anderson
July 5, 1981 - December 20, 2023
Audra Anderson passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 at the Dougherty Hospice House surrounded by loved ones. She was 42.
Audra Sue Anderson was born on July 5, 1981, in Sioux Falls, SD to Alan and Karen (Boterhoek) Anderson. She attended Sioux Falls public schools and graduated from Washington High School in 2000. After a few years of additional schooling at the University of South Dakota, Audra joined the workforce in various customer service roles working for Gateway Computers, Citibank, and Wells Fargo in Sioux Falls and then later moving to Colorado Springs, CO to be closer to her brother and sister where she also worked for Verizon and Comcast companies.
Audra’s true passion in life was music. She enjoyed long road trips with her friends to view up-and-coming artists as well as volunteered her time to help publicize their shows. She even set up a private concert in her sister’s basement to support a traveling singer/songwriter. Above all, she greatly valued her family and her friendships, often boasting about her niece and nephews’ accomplishments or her friends’ recent successes.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Karen; sister Laura (Trevor) Soyk of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Chris (Kate) Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; niece and nephews Zoe, Noah, Anderson, August and Arlo as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and beloved pets Dutchess and Maisie.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
