Lena 1910 - 1979
Lena Albers was born on a farm east of Lennox, SD on Aug. 23, 1919, the daughter of Ed and Annie (Wumkes) Stoffers. She attended rural school and grew to womanhood there. On Feb. 12, 1931 she was united in marriage ot Harm Albers at the LaValley Presbyterian Church, rural Lennox. Following their marriage they lived in the Lennox vicinity, moving into town in 1950, where they have since lived. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of Lennox. Following a lengthy illness, Lena died at the Good Samaritan Center on Aug. 12, 1979, having attained the age of 68 years, 11 months and 19 days. Survivors are her widower, Harm: two sons, Delmar Albers of Flandreau, SD and Harley Albers of Brandon, SD; two daughters, Mrs. Marlys Vanderwerf and Mrs. Betty Nordman, both of Lennox; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Percy (Clara) Merritt, Sioux Falls and Mae Ellen Stoffers of Lennox; two brothers, Edwin Stoffers, Chancellor and Alverne Stoffers, Sioux Falls.
