Arnold Jennings Berg, 82 of Baltic died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Arnold Jennings Berg was born August 28, 1924 in Baltic to parents Olaf and Gida (Wold) Berg. He grew up and attended school in Baltic. At the age of eighteen he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where worked for Scott's Machine Shop. He was then drafted into the United States Navy and serve on the USS Indiana during World War II. After his discharge he returned to Indianapolis, before moving back to Baltic in 1947 to work with his father at Berg's Repair. After the death of his father he continued to operate Berg's Repairs until the time of his death.

Arnold married June Mae Rose Walker March 31, 1970 in Sioux Falls. June died November 1, 2000.

Arnold truly enjoyed airplanes and tractors.

Grateful for having shared his life are a stepson Doug Walker, Baltic; a stepdaughter, Rose Walker, Brandon; five stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Ray, Jasper, MN; Juiete Kapler, Oceanside, CA; Olga Briley, San Diego, CA; three nieces, two nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Burial will be in the East Nidaros Cemetery.
