Curtis Rommereim was born Sept. 24, 1923, to Morten and Emma Rommereim. He has one sister, Geri Bovill. He attended Pleasant Valley School, Beresford High School, and South Dakota State College. He served in the navy. He married Lee Sundstrom, daughter of Clifford and Amanda Sundstrom of Clay County. She attended Beresford High School and Yankton College. They moved to the West Coast in 1946, where he worked as a salesman and district manager for a coffee company. In 1958 they moved to Sioux Falls, where Curt worked for Northwest Bell until 1964. At that time they started farm¬ing; his parents retired and moved to their new home in Beresford. Curt and Lee have four children: David, Jeanne, and twins, Steven and Susan.
