Death: May 25, 2006
Larry was born October 27, 1947, at Flandreau, SD, to Robert and Maxine (King) Relf. He attended Egan Elementary and graduated from Egan High School in 1965. He began working at the Colman Lumberyard and married Kathleen Heinricy on October 24, 1969. From there, he moved to Nunda, SD, where he was employed at Cenex until 1982. During that time, he met Dorene Clark and they were married in Arlington, SD on April 4, 1981. They moved to Flandreau, SD, in 1982 where he held various occupations. He spent the last 16 years living in Brookings, SD, where he was employed at Hub City until becoming ill in December 2005. His hobbies included bowling and golfing but his true joy in life was attending his grandchildren's ballgames and activities.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dorene, Brookings; 2 sons: Jim (Holly), Colman, SD; Brad (Melissa), Sioux Falls, SD; 2 stepsons: Chad Hahn, Anchorage, AK; Kyle (Tricia) Hahn, Pipestone, MN; 4 grandchildren: Lance, Mitch, Jessalyn, and Coleman; his mother, Maxine Relf, Flandreau; a brother, Richard (Lillian), Egan, SD; and a sister Glenda (Dick) Jewett, Flandreau. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, and father-in-law, Lyle Clark.
