Viola P. Relf, 92
Viola P. Relf, 92, of Flandreau, died Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at Riverview Manor in Flandreau.
Viola was born November 26, 1911 at Manilla, IA to George and Amanda Jahn Peper. The family moved to the Flandreau area when she was a child and she received her education at Tidd Country School. Viola married George L. Relf on September 4, 1940 at Rock Rapids, IA. They moved to Roberts County, South Dakota, near Roswell, but returned to the Egan area in 1944. They farmed until 1971 when they moved into Egan. Her husband preceded her in death on September 26, 1978, and then she lived with her sister, Edna. She became a resident at Riverview on November 12, 2001. Viola was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in and the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include a brother-in-law: Robert Wiese of Fairmont, MN and a sister-in-law: Vi Peper of Flandreau. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Emil and Herman and two sisters, Gertie and Edna.
Services were held September 24 at Redeemer Lutheran with Rev. Timothy Rynearson officiating. Burial is in Hillside Cemetery, Egan.
