Robert W. Relf

Death 8 Jul 2001 (aged 82)
Robert was born May 2, 1919, at Flandreau, SD, to Ernest (Wes) and Mabel Robinson Relf. He Received his education in Egan, SD, and farmed with his father. Robert married Maxine King on August 21, 1940, at Pipestone, MN. He entered the army in 1945 and after his discharge returned to farming and driving truck. He retired in 1979 and they moved into Flandreau and Bob worked at Cenex, was a custodian at Flandreau Public Schools, worked at Gambles, and was a crossing guard at Spafford Elementary School. Bob was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, former member of Rutland American Legion and a member of Flandreau American Legion.
Robert is survived by his wife, Maxine, Flandreau; 3 children, Richard (Lillian), Egan; Glenda Jewett (Dick), Flandreau; Larry (Dorene), Brookings, SD; 9 grandchildren, Brian, Amy, Lisa, Dan, Jim, Brad, Mike, Chad, Kyle; 10 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Baylee, Abby, Brandon, Noah, Michaela, Lance, Mitchell, Jessalyn, Coleman; and 1 brother, Howard, Yankton, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Melvin and Laurel.
