Christine July 10, 1881 - Novmeber 19, 1955
Dell Rapids - Daugaard, Mrs. Fred, 74. Died at her home in Dell Rapids of a heart attack yesterday. Services will be held at the Lutheran Church in Dell Rapids at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Dell Rapids Cemetery. Born in Denmark, July 10, 1881, she came to Iowa at the age of 12 and moved to Dell Rapids in 1912. Survivors include: the widower; three sons, Einar of Garretson and Albert and Arthur of Dell Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Fay Chrisman, Wagner, and Mrs. George Anderson, Dell Rapids, and 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 brother and four sisters.

Mrs. Fred Daugaard Dies Suddenly Saturday Morning
Mrs. Fred Daugaard passed away suddenly last Saturday morning. Death came as a shock to her family and friends of the community.
Christine Peterson was born at Ribe, Denmark, on July 10th, 1881, and departed this life November 19, 1955. She came to America as a young girl of 12 years of age. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and has been a steadfast member all her lifetime.
She was married to Fred Daugaard at Newell, Iowa, February 28, 1901. To this union was born three sons and two daughters.
The family came to South Dakota 42 years ago and lived on a farm southeast of Dell Rapids until the fall of 1943 when they moved to Dell Rapids and have resided here since that time.
She has always been a devoted wife, and loving mother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. F. M. Crisman, Wagner, S.D. and Mrs. George Anderson, Dell Rapids; sons Einar, Garretson, Albert and Arthur of Dell Rapids. There are eleven grandchildren, also four sisters and brothers.
Funeral services were held in the Dell Rapids Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. A.E. Moe officiating. Burial was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery. The Hermanson Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
