Edna E. Peper Johnson

Edna was born April 15, 1918, on a farm in Moody County, SD, to George and Amanda (Jahn) Peper. She received her education at Tidd Country School in Riverview Township. Edna married Desmond Johnson on July 15, 1946, at Sioux Falls and they moved to Egan in 1952. Her husband preceded her in death on October 6, 1991. Edna became a resident at Riverview Manor in September 2003. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, WELCA, and Egan American Legion Auxiliary.
Edna is survived by six children: Dennis (Mary), Ihlen, MN; Barbara Johnson, Brookings; Rodney, Egan; Gloria (Jim) Haug, Brandon; Sue Lahr, Egan; Steve (Beth), Elkton, SD; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola Relf, Flandreau, Desmond; her parents; two brothers, Herman and Emil; and a sister, Gertie.
