Albert M. Johnson was born April 29, 1893, north of Egan in Moody County to Andrew and Marie Johnson. He attended rural grade school and was graduated from Flandreau High School in 1911. He worked as a mechanic in Flandreau until he entered the service for World War I on May 15, 1918, he received a medical discharge on Sept. 3, 1918. He then returned to Flandreau where he worked as a mechanic until 1932, when he became a car salesman until 1938 when he was stricken with multiple sclerosis. Since that time he has been conficed to his home and the fairview home for the last six and one half years. He was a member of the Lutheran church and a charter member of the Flandreau American Legion.
Survivors:
He is survived by his wife, Lillian one daughter Eudora, Mrs. Everett Zellers, Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Service was held on November 19, 1963 at 2pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Flandreau, SD.
