Albert was born Nov. 8, 1912 at the home site in Farmington township in Sully County. He was baptized 29 Aug 1920 at Rilling School in Agar. Albert was a farmer in Farmington Twp. He played a mandolin, sang in the Old Quartet of Cal & Charles Brehe & Verne Pearson.
Albert and Ella were members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Agar. They were active in church, 4-H, and their community. Albert and Ella had 4 children; Bonnie Lou 1/14/1945, Connie Lee 1/14/1947, Bobbie Jean 7/4/1948, and Dale Dean 8/22/1952.
Ella Marie (Olson) Brehe was born June 17, 1922, to Henry H. and Anna C. (Fransen) Olson in Sully County, S.D. After attending East Harrison Grade School and graduating from Agar High School, Ella attended Northern State Teachers College and taught school for 2 years before being married. Ella married Albert H. Brehe on March 4, 1944, in Pierre, S.D. They made their home on a farm 9 miles west of Agar, where they lived until moving to Beverly Healthcare Center, Pierre in May 2001
