Laverne 1924 - 1987
Henry Thompson was born in 1916 to Robert and Hannah Thompson on the same farm that his dad was born and raised on. He had seven brothers and two sisters. He stayed home and helped his dad farm until 1942, when he met and married LaVerne Naeve. For two years he farmed six miles north of Beresford; then in 1945 they moved back to the home place. There they lived and raised nine children, five boys and four girls. They are Dennis, Douglas, Dallas, Dean (deceased), Dale, Joan, Janice, Judy, and Joelle. In 1982, the Thompsons retired to Beresford.
