Rudolph Peder Eneboe (1881-1950) was the youngest son of Peder and Ragnild Eneboe. He was born in Highland Township and was educated in the rural school known as the Eneboe School, which later became Highland. He farmed with his father and in 1918 married Ella Birkland, daughter of Carl N. and Brita Raakness Birkland. She was born in Nebraska but grew up in Pleasant Township near Beresford. They lived on the Eneboe homestead, four and one-quarter miles west and eight miles south of Canton. Peder and Ragnild lived with them until their deaths. Here their four children were born and raised. Everett (born 1919) married Evelyn Peterson in 1950, and they have two children, Tacey (born 1954) and Eric (born 1961); Reynold (born 1921) married Lois Anderson in 1951 and they have three children, Ruel (born 1952), Randi (born 1955) and Ronald (born 1955) and one grandchild, Tyson (born 1983); Julius (born 1923); and Ruth (born 1925) married Buell Kit¬telson in 1951. They have two children Spencer (born 1957) and J an (born 1959) and three grandchildren, Amos, (born 1978), Anna (born 1980 and Bessie (born 1982). They lived on the farm until 1950 when they moved to Canton. Rudolph was killed in a farm accident in 1950. They were lifelong members of Romsdal Church, where they held many offices and supported all activities. They are buried in Romsdal Cemetery. Their son Reynold and his wife Lois now live on their farm. (Source: The History of Lincoln Co, SD 1985, page 366)
