Ada F. Clark, 80, former Egan resident, died Saturday, April 6, at Brookview Manor, Brookings South Dakota, where she had been a resident since September, 1990.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 10, at the United Methodist Church, Egan, South Dakota, with Rev. Eric Grinager officiating.

Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery, Egan, South Dakota.

Ada Clark was born to George and Verna (Russell) Tuttle on October 21, 1910, at Arlington, South Dakota. After her mother died when she was four years old, she moved to Harmony, where she lived with aunt and an uncle, Ogden and Lillian Casterson. When she was 13, she was reunited with her family at Arlington, South Dakota, where she completed her education. She worked as a waitress and receptionist for a doctor in till she married Paul C. Clark on July 9, 1929, at Yankton, South Dakota the couple farmed in Trent in Egan areas until they retired in 1973 and moved into Egan, where they made their home until 1983, when they moved to Brookings, South Dakota. Since September, 1990, she was a resident at Brookview Manor, Brookings, South Dakota.

Survivors include her husband, Paul, Brookings, South Dakota; three sons, Robert, Colman, South Dakota; Larry, Luverne, California; in Rodney, Egan, South Dakota; four daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Ray) Doherty, Peterson, Iowa; Mrs. Marian (Lyle) Miller, Pipestone; Sharon Ford, Burlington, Iowa; and Mrs. Roberta (Robert) Reimers, Brookings, South Dakota; special friend Ilene Jurrens, Brookings, South Dakota; 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Asa Tuttle, Sarasota, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Paul, Jr.; a sister; a granddaughter and a great grandson.
