Roy E. Platts of Egan Dies After Operation
Passed Away at Hospital Tuesday Evening; Was 41 Years of Age; Funeral at Home Today
Roy Edwin Platts of Egan died Tuesday evening, at the Dells hospital. He has been sick for some time and went to Rochester, Minn., hospital and elsewhere, but could get no relief. He came to this hospital and on Tuesday was operated upon.
He had perforated ulcer of the stomach and died that evening.
Mr. Platts was born at Egan January 28, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edwin Platts, pioneers in that section, and that has always been his home. He was 41 years, 3 months and 10 days old at his death. He leaves his parents, one sister and one half sister. The funeral, in charge of John Hermanson, was held at Egan this afternoon.
