Verna Anna Waxdahl, daughter of Nels and Rosina Waxdahl was born in Moody County, SD on September 6, 1893. She attended rural Moody County schools and Flandreau high school. On September 10, 1919 she was united in marriage to John Harvey Keating. They farmed in the Flandreau area until 1950 when they retired and moved to Flandreau, where she has since resided. Mr. Keating passed away in 1955. She was employed at Dibben's Cafe and the Corner Cafe for several years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors
She is survived by 1 son, Donald, St. Paul, MN; 2 brothers, Parmer and Glenn Waxdahl of Flandreau; 1 sister, Mrs. Leah Keating of Flandreau. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
