Donna was born February 27, 1924 at Webster, South Dakota to parents Harry and Margaret (Frahm) Fangmeier. She moved with her family to Pipestone, Minnesota where she was raised and educated, graduating from Pipestone High School. Following graduation Donna moved to California and trained as a legal secretary. After her training she moved back to Pipestone, Minnesota.

Donna married Warren J. Gannon on July 3, 1947 at Pipestone, Minnesota. The couple lived in Slayton, Minnesota and Centerville, South Dakota before moving to Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Donna was employed by Van Buren, Vogt Law Office and later Sioux Valley Telephone Company.

Warren passed away November 10, 2003.

Donna passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 at Avera McKennan Hospice in Sioux Falls at the age of 82.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Thomas Gannon and his wife Deborah, Mequon, Wisconsin; daughter, Debra and her husband Steven Schmuck, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; six grandchildren, Erin and her husband Michael Lazzar; Gregory Schmuck; Michael Gannon and his wife Amy;Jeffrey Schmuck; Caitlin Gannon; and Elizabeth Gannon; brother, Robert Fangmeier and his wife Mildred, Pipestone, Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Dorothy Miller.
