On Saturday, Nov. 13 a terrible accident occurred at the home of W. B. Crisp about 5 miles northwest of Dell Rapids. Leonard Crisp, a lad 17 years old, died of a gunshot wound to the head. The funeral services and interment took place on Monday Nov. 15, 1897. The deceased was a good, bright, manly and industrious boy, giving promise of a splendid manhood, and was well liked by all who knew him. His death is a terrible blow to the parents and other relatives.
