Claude Cook To Be
Buried Here Oct. 4

Claude Cook, son of Moody County homesteaders died in his sleep early Tuesday morning, at the home of his niece, Mrs. Verlo Bebo in Sioux Falls, where he had made his home the last few years. His death came as a shock to the family as he had worked that day and had not been ill.

Mr. Cook was born on October 1, 1882, on the Homestead of his parents, now the Harley Johnston farm. His entire life has been spent in the community. For a number of years he was employed by the Munce Dray Line in Sioux Falls, later moving to Flandreau, returning a few years later to Dell Rapids, where he made his home with his parents until their death, after which he lived with his sister, Mrs. John Munk until he moved to Sioux Falls about five years ago, being employed again out by the Munce Dray Line and also served as chief of police.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Munk, Mrs. Iva Hart, Corona, California, and Mrs. Elizabeth Cook of Sioux Falls; a one brother, William of Sioux Falls. The deceased was one of nine children.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church, with the pastor, Rev. W. Morris Kildal in charge. Interment will take place in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
