Pearl Daisy Anderson
September 30, 1936 - June 20, 2023
Pearl D. Anderson, age 86, of Sioux Falls died, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 26, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls with Pastor Siri Sorenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
Pearl was born to Mary (Horrell) and William Sumption on September 30, 1936, in Marshall, MN. She graduated from Marshall High School and went to Augustana in Sioux Falls, where she met Kenneth Anderson. They married on September 8, 1956 and settled in Sioux Falls. Pearl enjoyed sewing immensely and creating a home for her family. She participated in Grace Lutheran’s women’s groups and taught Sunday School. She worked in the Social Sciences Department at Augustana and graduated in 1982 with her bachelor’s degree and her family was proud of this accomplishment.
Grateful for sharing her life are her children, Pam Stegman and her husband, Erik of Minneapolis, MN; Kurt Anderson and his wife, Jody of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter-in-law, Cindy and her husband, Robert Hackett of Canton, SD; five grandchildren, Sonja Baudry and her husband, Marc, Natalie Stegman, Ethan Anderson, Taye Anderson, Elle Anderson; great grandson, Beau Baudry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was proceeded in death by two sons, Scott Allen Anderson and Kevin Wayne Anderson and her husband Ken Anderson.
