Anne "Annie" (Kiesow) Boehrns, 44 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota died Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home after a long struggle with mental illness. Visitation with family present will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at George Boom Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at George Boom Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), PO Box 88808, Sioux Falls, SD 57109 or CLICK HERE to donate online to NAMI.

Annie was born on May 26, 1977, the daughter of David and Bonnie (Husby) Kiesow in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1995. Annie attended the University of South Dakota and completed her degree at Augustana University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. She was united in marriage to Jason Boehrns on July 19, 2002 in Sioux Falls. Annie began her professional career with student teaching in Sioux Falls until they moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where she taught fourth grade. One of her favorite units was introducing the Carolinians to the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. Due to job changes, the family moved to Dubuque, IA, where Annie was able to become a fulltime stay-at-home Mom. She adored her four daughters and they were the light of her life. The family returned to the Raleigh area in 2014. Annie moved back to Sioux Falls last summer to be closer to family.

Annie is survived by her four daughters, Madeline, Ellie, Lydia and Caroline; parents, Dave and Bonnie Kiesow; brother, Greg (Rebecca) Kiesow-Knudsen; paternal grandmother, Margaret Kiesow; nieces and nephews, Vivian, Emmett, Cecilia and Graham; sisters-in-law, Lynn (Zane) Gillette and Julie McGraw; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Annie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Avis and Harold Husby; Don Kiesow; and her ex-husband, Jason Boehrns; aunt, Sheree Kiesow Adkins, aunt, Barb Husby; cousin, Brad Kiesow.
