Annella Erickson Ekern

When she arrived in DT Annella was a young lady of 13. She became acquainted with neighbor Nels Olson (later to be known as Nels Ekern) and she married him in Jan of 1882. Nels (born Birid, Norway in 1848) was 34 and Annella was 25. She became good friends with her husband's sister Regina as she also lived with them for a number of years before her marriage to Eric. Andrew worked as a hired hand for the family during the middle 1880s. Annella and Nels (Ekern) had 3 children: Anna Regina (1882) married Obed Duncan, Peter O (1885) and Palmer Edward (1891).
Nels died in 1930 at age 82 and Annella died 1935 at age 78(having been an invalid for 7 years).
