Funeral services were Jan. 30 for Clarence W. "Junior" Murray Jr., 75, Harrisburg, who died on Jan. 26, 2008. The services were held in Augustana Lutheran Church at Sioux Falls, and burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery there.
Murray was born on April 20, 1932, at Highmore to Clarence and Ethyle Murray. He lived near Spencer and Sioux Falls most of his life. He attended Washington High School.
On July 25, 1953, he married Ardys Christianson. He served with the South Dakota Air National Guard as an air policeman. He was employed throughout the years at Terrace Park Dairy, Midwest Coast, and All American Transport Perishable Division. He had worked for more than 40 years at Sioux Merchant Patrol, were he was employed at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Ardys of Harrisburg; two sons, David (Deb) of Chancellor, and Steven of Sioux Falls; a daughter, Shirley (John) Albers of Bridgeton, Mo.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Thompson and Phyllis Murray, both of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Myron Joan) of Nampa, Idaho; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Lange of Sioux Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Donna; an infant child; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia.
The Heritage Funeral Home of Sioux Falls supervised arrangements.
