Sally was born and attended public school in Lemmon, SD. After graduation she moved to Rapid City to be with family. Shortly after she went on to graduate from Mitchell Vo-Tech for culinary arts and began working as a chef at the Ramkota in Pierre for five years. During that time she had two children, Nathan and Tiffany. She later relocated to Vermillion and studied business management along with alcohol and drug abuse studies and graduated with a double major in 2000 then received her Masters in interdisciplinary studies with emphasis on counseling in 2012. After graduation she settled down in Sioux Falls to become a drug and alcohol counselor at the Glory House for 19 years until retirement.

She belonged to a 12 Step recovery group and St. Joseph's Cathedral Parish. She devoted the rest of her life in December of 2010 to her husband Reid Holiday. She lived for adventures. Traveling all over the country in order to see National Parks, ride roller coasters, parasailing and zip lining. She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her garden and flowers. She especially enjoyed the country where she could waste gas riding her motorcycle or the ATV, even on the water cutting cookies in the boat. She loved bright colors to match her soul and decorating for Christmas. Her favorite poem was "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman.

Her greatest joys in life were her children: Nathan and Tiffany. Her biggest blessing from God was her husband, Reid.

Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Reid Holiday of Sioux Falls, SD; son, Nathan Seidel of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Tiffany Seidel of Sioux falls, SD; brother, Randy (Krystal) Seidel of Rapid City, SD; sister, Jackie Nilsen of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Steve Seidel of Sioux Falls, SD; step-son, Josh Zaug of Sioux Falls, SD; step-daughter, Angela Zaug of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Laura and Jerry Zaug; and many other relatives and friends.
