Anna A. Jensen was born on March 21, 1904 in Lexington, Nebraska. She received her education at Lexington and in 1921 moved with her parents to a farm east of Flandreau. She married Louie Schmidt on February 14, 1923 at Flandreau and they farmed east of Flandreau until the fall of 1974 when they retired and moved into Flandreau where she had since made her home.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Louie, one son, Harold, Pensacola, FL; one daughter, Elsie Ann, Mrs. Willie Oltmans, Slayton, MN; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Anton Jensen, Denver, CO; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Henry, Park Rapids, MN, Mrs. Augusta Brandsma, Harlingen, TX, Mrs. Esther Jungeman, Storm Lake, IA and Mrs. June Shepperd, Coos Bay, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Dorothy Lien and one brother, Peter.
