Jessie Langdon, 93
Jessie Langdon, Renner, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at her home. She was 93.
Jessie was born to George and Anna Beare on Sept. 29, 1910, in Estelline. She was raised in the Estelline area before moving to Sioux Falls as a teenager.
Jessie married J.C. "Jack" Langdon on July 9, 1926, in Sioux Falls.
Jessie worked at John Morrell for a few years. She and Jack then farmed in the Renner area for many years. Jack died in 1996.
Jessie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and watching her grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Roland, Banning, Calif.: Gary, Sioux Falls; and Carole Deming, Dell Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dottie Ching, Castlewood.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Chapel Hills, with interment at Dell Rapids.
