Roberta C. Ince, the daughter of Robert K. and Lorene (McHenry) Ince was born on July 4, 1924 in Wamego, KS. Roberta grew up and received her education in Wamego. Following her graduation from high school she attended Kansas State University. During her senior year Roberta served as the Class President. She graduated in 1946 with a BS degree in Dietetics and Institutional Management. She served an internship as a dietitian with Carson Pirie Scott following her graduation. On September 16, 1948, Roberta was united in marriage with Clyde A. Stroman in Woodstock, IL. Roberta and Clyde moved to Sioux Falls and she worked as the Director of School Cafeterias with the Sioux Falls School District. Roberta continued to work as the Chief Clinical Dietitian at the V.A. Medical Center in Sioux Falls and retired in 1990 as Chief Dietitian. Roberta was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star for 52 years. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and dancing with Clyde. Roberta's immediate and her extended family were very important to her, grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Clyde Stroman, Sioux Falls; son, Scott (Becky) Stroman, Sioux Falls; two grandchildren, Rob (Sonja) Stroman and their child, Aedan, Bismarck, ND, Christine Stroman, Sioux Falls; sisters, Virginia "Gee Gee" Hundley, Hiawatha, KS, Peggy (Thomas) Elder, Wamego, KS; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Robert Ince, Raymond Ince; and two sisters, Lucille Edwards and Mildred Brown, preceded Roberta in death.
