Anna S. Valland
COLTON, SD – Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church for Anna S. Valland, 98, Madison, who died Saturday in a Madison Nursing Home.
Anna s. Waswick was born May 14, 1875, at Roland, Iowa. She was married to Petter Valland at Sioux Falls on Nov. 7, 1900. The couple farmed in the Colton vicinity until Mr. Valland’s death in 1953. Mrs. Valland moved to Madison in 1963.
Surviviors include two sons, Orville, Sioux Falls, and Ernest, Colton; two daughter, Mrs. C.L. Morey, Groton, and Mrs. Lloyd Rentschler, Dell Rapids; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandsons.
A prayer service will be at 8 pm. Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home Chapel in Baltic.
