Woodhouse rites Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. William R. Woodhouse were held Monday afternoon in the Dell Rapids Lutheran Church with the Rev. Edwin Bersagel officiating. Mrs. Neil Hainje was organist and Mrs. Clarence Dybvig vocalist. Pallbearers included Martin Morse, Arnie Wildermuth, Ernie Kittleson, Warren Wicks, George Anderson and Elmer Jorgensen. Interment was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
Mrs. Woodhouse died in the Dell Rapids hospital at 5:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 following a six months' illness with cancer. Her entire family was present at her bedside.
Ethel Marie Grout was born on February 3, 1907 in Winterset, Iowa. She was married on Feb. 13, 1931 to William Ray Woodhouse in Sioux Falls. They have been residents of Dell Rapids since August, 1944, coming here from Sioux Falls.
She was a member of the Dell Rapids Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and of the Easter Star Lodge.
She is survived by her widower and three daughters: Carol Brude, Madison, S.D.; Janet Schleuter, Minneapolis and Betty, Dell Rapids; also her mother, Mrs. Bessie Van Gerpen of Dell Rapids, and two grandchildren.
