Robert 1914 -1995
Robert Wilshire was born November 21, 1914, at Redlands, California, the son of Bert and Myrel Wilshire. He was a fourth generation Californian. As a young boy he moved with his parents to Los Angeles and attended school there, graduating in 1935. He attended Air Craft School in Los Angeles and also worked for Good Year. In 1937, he went to work for North American Aviation in Inglewood, California, which later became Rockwell International.
Bob married Marjorie Sorensen July 16, 1944, at Colman. They lived in Downey, California. He retied in 1978, and they moved to Dell Rapids in 1982, where he remained until his death.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids.
Bob died Wednesday, September 20, 1995, at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. He was 80.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Marjorie, of Dell Rapids; a son, Everett Wilshire and his wife, Sue, of Tacoma, Washington; a daughter, Roberta Wilshire, of La Mirada, California; nine grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
