Mrs. Gertude Martinson
Egan, SD - funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church for Mrs. Gertrude Martinson, 77, who died Monday at Flandreau after a brief illness.
Born October 16, 1894, Gertrude Stombaugh, was educated and grew up in Moody County. On October 14, 1914, she married Fred Martinson and the two farmed at Egan until 1958, when they moved into Egan. In 1970, Mrs. Martinson became a resident of the Riverview Nursing Home at Flandreau. Mr. Martinson died in 1966.
She is survived by a son, LeRoy, Egan; a daughter, Mrs. Chris Schildhauer, Dell Rapids; a brother, Irving Stombaugh, Egan; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Duncan, Egan, seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.
