Norman "Bud" W. Thill was born on August 28, 1922 near Dell Rapids, the son of Nicholas and Margaret (Beck) Thill. He grew up in Dell Rapids area and attended country school. He farmed with his father until 1954. He worked on many farms around Dell Rapids until 1970 when he went to work for Du-Al Manufacturing Co. He retired in 1981. He has been a resident of Terrace Manor Nursing Home for the past three years.
Bud was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Senior Citizen's Center.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Dell Rapids. Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 with the Christian Wake Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Kahler Funeral Home.
