Mrs. Morgan buried Saturday
Mrs. George Morgan, 80, died in a Sioux Falls nursing home Wednesday, April 14 having been in failing health for the past three years. Services were held Saturday in the Methodist church in Dell Rapids with the Rev. Glenn Phillips officiating. Mrs. Robert Waagmeester was organist and Mrs. Les Nelson vocalist. Pallbearers were Homer Raines, Howard Hoyme, Hollis Goodale, Harold Boyer, Lewis Hybertson and Floran Lickteig. Burial was in the Dell Rapids cemetery with Hermansons in charge. Ida Florence Dietz was born July 1, 1884 in Milbank the daughter of Veda and Albert Dietz. She was united in marriage to George H. Morgan on December 24, 1901 in Milbank. They moved to Flandreau shorty after their marriage and in 1921 moved to Dell Rapids. Nine children were born to this union. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Dell Rapids Methodist Church she entered Mom and Dad's Nursing Home in September, 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband and son Frances of Long Veach, Ca. Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. (Bethel) Goodale, Chester, Mrs. Harry (Emma) Grav, Paramount, Ca. Mrs. Vernon (Grace)Liggett, Long Beach, Ca, five sons, Leonard, Inglewood, CA; Lester, Tucson, Ari; Charles, Coupeville, Wa; Robert, Rapid City, and Dale, Long Beach, CA; a brother Lester Dietz of Des Moines, 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, many friends.
