1872 - 1929
Margery Martha Fisher was born at Pleasantville, Iowa, January 7, 1872 and died in Lake City, South Dakota, December 29, 1929 at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 23 days.
On March 26, 1893 she was united in marriage to Elias Ewing and to this union nine children were born. Three preceded her in death.
In March 1905, the family came to South Dakota and twelve years later they moved to New York State. Mr Ewing died in 1923 and the following year Mrs. Ewing returned to South Dakota where she resided until her death.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at the Community Church, Rev. Christenson of Stratford officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Lake City Cemetery.
She leaves to mourn the following children: Mrs. Olaf Lien, Thom, Ray, William, Vern, and Floyd Ewing all of Lake City and Mrs. Ruby Berner of Rochester, New York.
Mrs Ewing was beloved by all who knew her and her death leaves a vacancy never to be filled.
