Adolph Harders, 72 Dies Friday Morning, April 5
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon of this week at the Lutheran Church in Dell Rapids for Adolph F. Harders, who passed away early Friday morning, April 5th, at his home following a brief illness. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
Rev. Elmer A. Moe, conducted the service at 2 o'clock. Burial was in the Dell Rapids cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Burke, Henry Merry, Lars Dalsgaard, Homer Raines, Walt Crisp, Martin Jenson. Arrangements were in charge of the Hermanson funeral home.
Adolph Frank Harders was born at Alvord, Iowa, March 21, 1885, being 72 years of age at death. He came to South Dakota early in life and had been a resident of Dell Rapids for many years.
He was united in marriage to Hilda Sather of Dell Rapids in 1908, and they have made this their home since that time. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Roy Grav; two grandchildren and one brother, Herman of Boise, Idaho.
For the past several years he had been custodian at the city hall, and was also police magistrate. He was a splendid citizen and well liked by al who knew him.
