W. Drummond Jr. Succumbs at 62
Webster Drummond Jr. deputy state fire marshal for the past six years, died of a heart attach at his home in Dell Rapids at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services for Mr. Drummond, who was 62, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Dell Rapids. Hermanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Drummond, who was born Jan 8, 1905, in Flandreau, is survived by his widow; two sons, Dick of Sioux Falls and Ron, a highway patrolman stationed at Milbank; a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Bartling, Rapids City; 12 grandchildren; his father, Webster Drummond Sr., Dell Rapids; a brother, Vinal, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Strub, both of Dell Rapids.
