Algan Anderson
Flandreau – Algan I. Anderson, 90, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Flandreau.
He was born April 25, 1909, on a farm near Flandreau. He attended Egan High School and Nettleton Commercial School for accounting in Sioux Falls. He worked at John Morrell & Co in Sioux Falls.
He married Minnie Hovland on November 27, 1929, in Ortonville, Minnesota. They lived in Sioux Falls for three years, and then moved to a farm near Flandreau. In 1940, they moved to Ward where they continued to farm and where Mr. Anderson worked at the Moody County ASCS and 3M in Brookings. They returned to Flandreau in 1981. His wife died in 1996.
He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two brothers: Milton of Brookings and Russell of Flandreau; and many nieces and nephews.
Services began at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Flandreau with burial at union Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 2 PM today at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau.
