Greg Lucas
September 18, 1945 - December 15, 2021
Greg Evan Lucas of Sioux Falls and formerly Denver, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Riverview Care Center in Flandreau, SD. He died following a long struggle with chronic health problems complicated by break-through Covid in the last few weeks.
Greg was born to Evan and Jan (Ulven) Lucas on September 18, 1945, in Sioux Falls. He attended Washington High School, Sioux Falls College and Metro State College in Denver. He also served in the Army Security Agency. Greg worked in a variety of jobs in retail sales and bar tending in Denver and Sioux Falls. He is remembered for his intellectual gifts, a love of mathematics, and an appreciation of 50s music and modern jazz. He was a baseball fan with an amazing memory and a clever wit
Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Gloria (Lucas) and Jon Olson of Faribault, MN and his nephews, Todd Olson, and Matt Olson and wife, Amy.
