Gloria Ruth Weber, a resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Sanford USD Medical Center at the age of 69.
A memorial service for Gloria will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church, located at 4100 Bahnson Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Gloria was born on October 3, 1953, in Orange City, Iowa, to Henry and Harriet (Kleinhesselink) Peuse. She attended Orange City public schools and graduated from MOC-Floyd Valley High School in 1971. She became a licensed LPN and received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from USD in Vermillion, SD.
After completing her education, Gloria moved to Sioux Falls and married her former spouse. From this marriage, she had two children, Karissa and Kyle. On September 23, 2016, Gloria married Randy Hindbjorgen in Sioux Falls and gained three bonus children: Mark, Julie, and Amy.
Gloria worked as a dedicated registered nurse for 50 years at various places, including Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Valley (Sanford) Hospital, Sioux Falls Surgical Center, Sioux Falls Community Health, and Center of Hope. She retired from the Center of Hope in December of 2022.
Gloria was an active Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church member and attended bible study regularly. She was also involved in various nursing groups, including Faith Community Nursing. After retiring, Gloria dedicated her time to volunteering at Sioux Falls Christian, Center of Hope, and at her church, serving many church meals and singing in the choir. However, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her granddaughters.
Gloria loved camping in their travel trailer at Lake Poinsett, listening to oldies music, baking, and cooking. She had a passion for collecting healthy recipes from her vast collection of cookbooks and loved to copy them down in her own notes. She also loved watching Minnesota Twins games with Randy when she wasn't reading one of her many, many books.
Grateful for having shared her life are her loving husband, Randy Hindbjorgen of Sioux Falls; daughter, Karissa (Joe) Adams of Sioux Falls and son, Kyle Weber of Hudson, SD; stepchildren, Mark Hindbjorgen of Minneapolis, MN, Julie (Josh) Heetland of Sioux Falls, and Amy Hindbjorgen of Portland, OR; two granddaughters, Ashley Adams, and Gracelyn Heetland; brothers, Dr. Harlan (Godbertha) Peuse of Africa and Delwyn (Sharon) Peuse of Prescott Valley, AZ; sister, Wanda Noordhoek of Orange City, IA; parents-in-law, Roger and Marlys Hindbjorgen; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Harriet Peuse, and her brother-in-law, Gerry Noordhoek.
In lieu of flowers, please consider directing memorials to the Center of Hope or New Haven Ministries in Sioux Falls.
