Donald O. Seiders
May 16, 1919 - March 25, 2006
Sioux Falls ~ Donald O. Seiders, 86, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Avera McKennan Hospice in Sioux Falls.
Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at George Boom Funeral Home with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
Memorial visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 6:00 8:00 PM Monday, March 27 at George Boom Funeral Home.
Donald was born May 16, 1919 near Alexandria, SD to Ben and Bertha (Kenyon) Seiders. He grew up in that area.
He married Jeanne Maine on November 1, 1944 at Madison, SD. They lived near Lake Andes, SD for 30 years.
They moved to Sioux Falls in 1977, where he worked at Woodlawn Cemetery as a groundskeeper for 18 years. In 1996, Donald had a stroke and recovered quite well.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanne Seiders, Sioux Falls; 4 children, Craig (Faye) Seiders, Sioux Falls, Curt (Nancy) Seiders, Sun Lakes, AZ, Linda (David) Welch, Arlington, MN, Nancy (Rick) Duffek, Davenport, IA; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
