January 13, 1955 - December 22, 2020

Steven (Steve) W. McKenzie, age 65 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on December 22nd, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital. He was born to Dr. William and Margaret K. McKenzie on January 13th, 1955 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was a Registered Nurse until his retirement a couple years ago.

Steve is survived by his fiancé Hilarie Hanthorn of Sioux Falls, our twin daughter Keely Underwood and granddaughter Rosaleigh, their fur baby Oliver, his cousins Skip McKenzie of Texas, Eve and Soma Timer of Bonyha'd, Hungary, Istavin Gati, and Agnes Gati . Also special friends, Karen Crew, Mary Lou Jorgensen, Becky Pruitt, Rachel Ormseth, Roxie and Tim Loftesness, Gregg and Jenny Olson, Colleen Rechhelt, Steve and Ruth Feeney, Mr and Mrs Lee Olson, Mr and Mrs John Moore, Mr and Mrs. Tom Knadel, Carol Byrd and family, Galina Kovel, Dale Uttecht, Rob Burnette, and Tom and Tami Ulin.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Dr. William and Margaret K. McKenzie, our twin daughter Rosanna, grandparents and great grandparents, and several relatives and other fur babies.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 31st, at 11 am at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Justin Jenness officiating. Steve asked for any memorials be directed to the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
