Serviced were held Saturday in the Dell rapids Baptist Church for Mr. Henry (Mary Sena) Olson, 90. The Rev. Orland Sloat officiated with the Rev. O.A. Enerson of Alliance, Neb., giving the scripture and prayer. Mrs. Frank Greening was at the organ and LuAnn Merry sang accompanied by Joyce Merry. Pallbearers were Roe Merry, Phil Hines, K.T. Fairs, Hollis Silkensen, Frank Greening, Ernest Marry. Interment took place in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
Johanna Maria Jensina White was born June 9, 1875 in Hjellerat, Denmark. She came to Dell Raids when she was seven years old. She was married to Hugh C. Thomson on May 19, 1897 in Dell Rapids. Three daughters were born to this union: Ehtel (Mrs. Harry Crisp), Hazel (Mrs. Robert Yule) and Ruth (Mrs. Lackey, who preceded her in death.) Mr. Thomson died on May 31, 1906. On Sept. 1, 1914 she was united in marriage with Henry A. Olson. He died Sept. 1, 1954.
Mrs. Olson was a resident of South Dakota for a great part of her life and of Dell Rapids. She was a member of the Dell Rapids Baptist church. She had been a resident of Luther Manor in Sioux Falls for three years.
Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Crisp of Dell Rapids; Mrs. Yule of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; three sister, Mrs. Ida Jones and Mrs. Otto Knutson of Dell Rapids and Mrs. Franics Pickett of Alhambra, Calif.
