Sandra L. Ellerbroek
Sioux Falls – Sandra L. Ellerbroek, 61, died Friday, April 5, 2002 at Good Samaritan Village of complication from Pick’s Disease.
Sandy was born March 27, 1941, to Greg and Mary (Braun) Kass in Sibley, IA. She graduated from high school in 1959, and went on to graduate from Briar Cliff in 1962 with an Elementary Education Degree.
On December 15, 1962, she married Steve Ellerbroek in Sibley, IA. Sandy worked as a Librarian and Substitute teacher at St. Jospeh Cathedral in Sioux Falls.
Sandy was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral; a 25 year member fo the Cathedral Choir; and the first female President of St. Jospeh Cathedral Parish Advisory Council. She also worked at Birthright for 25 years, including the office manager. She was a member of the LaLeche League; was a Parent Advisor for O’Gorman; and was a Distinguished Alumni of Briar Cliff in 1984.
Sandy is survived by her husband: Steve; four sons: Craig of Sioux Falls, Bryan (Kami) of Sioux Falls, Geoggrey of Dallas, TX; Alyssa Ellerbroek of Sioux Falls, Kristin LeGrang (Kory) of Sioux Falls; four sisters: Carol Mauch (Doug) of Sibley, Claudia Agnes (Ed) of Crystal Lake, IL, Lynn Nicolai (Mark) of Sioux Falls, Kim Wick (Steve) of LeMars, IA; her mother: Mary Kass of Sibley, A; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be Monday the 8tj. 10 AM, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Visitation will be Sunday the 7th, 5 PM, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM.
Sandy donated her body to the Mayo Clini9c in Rochester, MN to further the study of Pick’s Disease.
