Daniel Dean Wulff entered Heaven on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 following a very brief battle of brain cancer. He was 66.
Daniel was born on April 2nd, 1955 to Richard Wulff and Geraldine (Haroldson) Wulff in Sioux Falls, SD. He attended Sioux Falls public schools and lived in Sioux Falls his entire life. Dan was united in marriage to Cyndi Schmidt in Sioux Falls, SD on March 10th 1979. From this union were born Laura and Sarah. He was then united in marriage to Tammy DeJong on July 31st, 1993 in Colton, SD and from this union were born Jackson, Marissa, and Thomas.
Dan spent his entire life as a cook, beginning at Anderson’s Café at the age of 16 and then later Chris’ Grill, Dow Rummel Village, and Avera Prince of Peace, among others.
Dan enjoyed playing piano, racquetball, and bowling; but his main passions were traveling and food. He enjoyed many vacations with his family at Disneyworld, cruises, and trips to China/Hong Kong, New Zealand/Australia, Bali/Singapore, and Hawaii. After his cancer diagnosis he told Tammy that his next trip he wanted to take was to the Holy Land.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Jeffery Dickson.
He is survived by family including his wife, Tammy; children, Laura Wulff-Johnson (Mathhew Johnson), Sarah (Lee) Olson, Jackson, Marissa and Thomas; grandchildren, Lily, Lucas, Imogen, Christian, Eilliot and Hadley; sisters Wanda Dickson and Lynette (Mark Tipton) Wulff.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 am on Thursday March 24, 2022 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 909 W 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation with family present will be held 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Miller Westside Chapel, 6200 West 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.
