Cindy Kay Oppold
January 4, 1963 - January 2, 2015
Cynthia Kay Oppold, 51, passed away January 2, 2015 at Dougherty Hospice House. Cindy was a beautiful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved trips to the mountains, smells of cedar and flowers. She was fortunate to have stayed home with her children while they were growing up; taking them to school and every after school activity. Her creativity and decorating skills surely made the family's house a home. Her children remember her unconditional love and sacrifices. Her husband remembers her beauty and comfort. Friends and loved ones remember her goofy character and down right good heart. She has left a legacy of the important things in life; Making sure all who she loved have asked Jesus Christ to be their savior, what it means to be a selfless mom, and how thankful we all should be for what God has given us. Her wish is that everyone she knows come to accept Christ into their life and give their life to his work. She fought the good fight. Survivors include her husband, Bob; children, Ashley (Michael Martin) Oppold, Justin Oppold, granddaughter, Johannah Miller; parents, Leo and Marilyn Berg; three brothers, Roger (Theresa) Berg, Rodney (Molly) Berg, Ryan (Jen) Berg; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Central Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2015 5:00-7:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home.www.heritagesfsd.com
