Gayle Lynn Hansen
June 4, 1968 - July 26, 2021
Gayle Lynn Hansen, 53, passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital on July 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Gayle was born in Minneapolis, MN, on June 4, 1968, to Gene and Gwen Noonan. The family lived in Bellingham, MN and moved during her freshman year of high school to Letcher, SD. She graduated from Letcher High School in 1986.
On June 4, 1988, she married Rodney Weisser and they had their daughter, Jessica in 1992.
In October 11, 1997, Gayle married the love of her life Doug in Mitchell, SD. Shortly after getting married they moved to Sioux Falls to begin their new journey together. They had their son Jacob in 1998.
She pursued her associate’s degree from South East Technical Institute for Floral Design. Gayle’s love for flowers continued to grow even more than before. She ended up starting her own flower shop Creative Chick Floral & Gifts in 2008 and continued until her health declined in 2019. She was always so excited to be able to be there for people even in the worst and best parts of people’s lives, and did everything she could to make it the best for people.
Gayle always cared about other people before herself and always talked about her savior Jesus Christ. She always tried to make the best of any situation given to her or others. She made such a positive impact on people’s lives and will never be forgotten.
Gayle was able to enjoy traveling on trips with family and friends, fishing, doing puzzles, playing games with her children, camping with family and loved the company of her dogs Sylvie and Brownie. Gayle had an incredible work ethic, but cherished her time when she was able to take time to relax and be with those who she loved.
Gayle will always be missed by those who loved her. Left to cherish her memories are her family; her husband Doug Hansen, son Jacob Hansen, and daughter Jessica (Morgan) Weisser-Kelley all of Valley Springs, SD; her sister Gina Hobbie of Sioux Falls, SD; parents Gene (Gwen) Noonan of Centerville, SD; and many special family members, and friends.
Funeral Services will take place at Hillcrest Church, 4301 East 26th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57103 on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The family invites you to stay for a time of desserts and fellowship following the service.
