Mary Elizabeth Retterath
May 19, 1963 - January 13, 2022
Mary Beth Retterath, 58, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 18, at St Mary Catholic Church, with Private Family Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Masks are required at the funeral Mass.
Mary Elizabeth Retterath, daughter of Cy and Mary Therese (Flynn) Hennes was born May 19, 1963 in New Prague, MN. She was the youngest of six siblings. She grew up in Minnesota most of her life and met her beloved husband of 36 years at the age of 15. They were blessed with two daughters, Anna and Halie. She worked in business marketing for the last 30 years, was an avid volunteer in the community and a very proud grandma.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Bill, Sioux Falls, SD; two daughters and two grandchildren, Anna (Matt) Meyer, and their children, Olivia and Cy, Sioux Falls, SD, Halie Retterath (Alex Frankel), Seattle, WA; her siblings, Judi (Mike) Miller, Land O' Lakes, FL, Ken Hennes, Minneapolis, MN and Joan Hennes, Marietta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth is preceded in death by her parents Cy and Mary Therese Hennes, brothers Bill Hennes and Tim Hennes.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Great Plains Zoo in Mary Beth's name.
